Top 10 tracks in my Gym playlist

For me, music is essential when working out. Especially cardio when attempting to find a comfortable stride on the treadmill, (Usually to the beat) when that certain track comes on you know you're in your element!

Here's a little compilation of my top 10 tracks to listen to whilst I work out. I reckon you guys will recognize some, not all. The first track I listen to in the gym is something different, I listen to this before I've even touch anything. 100% for the mental preparation. When I saw the movie I literally became obsessed. King Leonidas became one of, if not my most inspirational movie character. Some of you might have guessed...

1.     300 - Returns a King

My favourite cardio track ever, the beat and lyrics together make me push myself all the way.

2.     Pendulum - Crush

I used to watch The Contender religiously. The passion and love for the sport each of the boxers used to show throughout the program was contagious. In fact so contagious for a short while I got myself into boxing at University.

3.     The Contender Theme Song

I heard this track on a Simplyshredded.com motivational video, It was one of my favourite bodybuilders Flex Wheeler's highlights video. When I listen to it, I play the video back in my head and visualize his incredible physique.

4.     Breaking Benjamin - The Diary of Jane

This is just one track of many from the album, I think I listen to Linkin Parks album Hybrid Theory every time i'm in the gym.

5.     Linkin Park - A place for my head

This one is slightly different from the rest. Unless you're a fan, I don't expect you to understand. However it definitely works for me. A lot like the 300 track. mental preparation like no other.

6.     Naruto - Girei (Pain theme song)

Drum & Bass/Dubstep will always be up there for me in terms of genre choice for cardio.

7.     Chase & Status - Hocus Pocus

Rock comes above all genres for weight training, I'm not a Heavy Metal fan but when the time comes to head into that final set, especially after a rest pause. I don't think twice about putting this on.

8.    Killswitch Engage - When Darkness Falls

Love the lyrics in this!

9.    The Swarm - Me you at six

Another Linkin Park track from their Album Hybrid Theory.

10.   Linkin Park - One Step Closer
