Back in the U.K!

After a month of blazing sun, I'm back from Ayia Napa, Cyprus and ready to get straight on with Mission summer body part 2 in preparation for Miami!

First of all, Cypriot customs actually did make things interesting before I'd left Larnaca airport when I opened my suitcase in the toilet and made a shocking discovery. A few of my 21 food bags with pure white protein powder in were pierced and was all over my clothes... I wonder what their problem was.
As expected, my workout and diet plan took a beating but was something I came to terms with when I decided I'd be going back out there to work. I don't regret it, however for my fitness and progress I've made this year, all the past 4 weeks have been is detrimental; hence my return home 2 weeks early. I joined a gym of a hotel called New Famagusta Hotel and I can confidently say It's the best gym I've ever been to. Taking into account, equipment, machine variation for the same muscle groups, how quiet it was, dumbbell range etc. Here are a few pics I took.

Superset from hell anyone?

As you can see there was plenty of good quality equipment to use, but as I only joined to maintain, I wasn't pushing myself to the max like I do here at home; So it was a shame I didn't workout at full intensity, almost feel I wasted a lot of potential. However I was disciplined and stuck to my original plan.

Workout Plan

Monday - Legs
Tuesday - Day off
Wednesday - Back, Biceps
Thursday - Medial Deltoids, Traps, Abs
Friday - Chest, Triceps, Anterior deltoids
Saturday - Day off
Sunday - Day off

Diet plan

I'm too ashamed to tell you.

Ok you twisted my arm, there's a bakery called Zorbas which is pretty much our Greggs. Chicken sandwiches, salmon and cheese sandwiches, salad selection etc. I basically lived in there for 4 weeks. Also the closest thing to Nandos in Ayia Napa "Mambos" half chicken and chips not so often.. (Every night at approx 5am without fail) and taking my protein shakes 2x a day which unfortunately ran out after 21 days just as I calculated. This meant the final 7 days I had to go without, I also somehow forgot to pack my flax seed oil. Gutted. I'll leave your imaginations to estimate how much alcohol I consumed across the 4 weeks. (I said I was ashamed)

My fat % is now through the roof and I have a lot of work to do for Mission Summer body part 2 before my holiday in Miami on August 21st. Again, I don't regret it, I met back up with friends I worked with last year who I now consider family and I miss all of them already. I won't be doing the same again next year as It's the year I plan to compete so will need to be 100% focused on peak condition and any career moves involving strength and conditioning coaching that come about.
